SIP has developed a unique mode of international cooperation. Over the past three decades, SIP has drawn from Singapore a wide range of experience which has been applied in its planning and development. In recent years, the cooperation between SIP and Singapore in service trade, biomedicine, digital economy, green development and other aspects has been enhanced.

Fidah Alsagoff, Vice Chairman, Life Sciences (Global Partnerships), Temasek International Pte Ltd, said in his speech at the event that Temasek felt honored to have witnessed the support of Suzhou and SIP for a multitude of innovative medical products companies to grow from startups to industry leaders. He said Temasek was collaborating with SIP in the creation of a life science park in it.

“Suzhou is an open city full of vitality and opportunities,” said Angela Lu, President and General Manager Asia Pacific at SIG Combibloc, a world-leading aseptic packaging solution supplier. She said SIG would continue to expand investment in SIP to build a business chain consisting of R&D, packaging, material production and services.

During the event, Suzhou Industrial Park International Business Cooperation Centre (Singapore) hosted a parallel event where the participants from multinationals, high-tech enterprises, innovation centers under universities and government departments and other organizations in Singapore watched the live stream of the event, and discussed cooperation.

Based on international standards and from a global perspective, SIP has established an open innovation system and international innovation ecosystem with unique local characteristics, and its experience is being spread at home and overseas, contributing to the shaping of a “new pattern” of international cooperation.
